Young British blues artist Davy Knowles recorded his latest album, “Three Miles From Avalon” using old school (reel to reel) technology. His goal was to create a more live feeling album. The pressure was immense to get it right in fewer takes but the end result was a very real musical sound. The music was not always in perfect tune but these imperfections added character to his songs which Knowles feels is  important. Knowles who grew up listening to his father’s blues records brings a much needed freshness and soulfulness to today’s music. Check him out at the Rhythm Room this Wednesday night, Mar. 22nd. Doors open at 7 p.m. and show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets run $12 to $15. For ticket info:  http://www.rhythmroom.com/
